Restore Microsoft SQL Server
IDrive 360 allows you to restore SQL Server backup data either to a new database or to a specific point in time. The steps below outline the complete restore process.
To restore an MS SQL Server database,
- Sign in to the IDrive 360 desktop application and click 'Restore'.
- Select 'Online Restore', 'Local Restore', or 'IDrive® 360 Express™'.
- Browse and select the 'IDSQLBackup' file from your IDrive 360 account or from the local storage path.
Note: For Local Restore, you can select the required version from the 'Version' list.
- Click 'Restore Now' to restore the 'IDSQLBackup' file to your local system.
- Once the backup file is restored locally, go to 'Server Backup'. A side panel will appear.
- Select 'MS SQL' and then click 'MS SQL restore'.

- Provide the necessary SQL Server authentication details when prompted and click 'Connect to MS SQL'.
- Browse and select the previously restored 'IDSQLBackup' (.dmp) file from your system.

- Click 'Restore Now' to restore the selected backup into your SQL server instance.
