Integrate ownCloud with IDrive® e2
ownCloud is an open-source file sync, share, and collaboration platform that provides secure, real-time access to files across devices, featuring end-to-end encryption, federated sharing, and external storage integration. It supports on-premises, hybrid, and cloud deployments, ensuring data control and compliance. Integrating ownCloud with IDrive® e2 adds a capable and scalable cloud object storage solution that facilitates systematic integration for secure, efficient, and cost-effective file collaboration.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure the following:
- An active IDrive® e2 account. Sign up here if you do not have one.
- A bucket in IDrive® e2. See how to create a bucket.
- Valid Access Key ID and Secret Access Key. Learn how to create an access key.
- A valid ownCloud account.
Configure ownCloud with IDrive® e2
- Log in to your OwnCloud console.
- Click Administrator in the upper-right corner and select Settings.
- Click Storage under Admin.
- Click Enable external storage and select Amazon S3 from the dropdown.
- Enter your IDrive® e2 details for Configuration as mentioned below.
- Enter your IDrive® e2 Bucket name.
- Enter your IDrive® e2 S3 end-point (e.g., https://v1e8.da.idrivee2-17.com).
- Enter your IDrive® e2 Access Key as Access Key.
- Enter your IDrive® e2 Secret Key as Secret Key.
- Select Enable SSL.
- Click Add Storage.
- Click Files and select External Storage.
Your S3-compatible storage is displayed.
