Integrate Pure Storage FlashArray with IDrive® e2

    Pure Storage FlashArray is a high-performance, all-flash storage platform designed for mission-critical workloads, offering ultra-low latency, advanced data services, and effortless integration with VMware. It provides resilient data protection, non-disruptive scalability, and AI-driven performance optimization. Integrating Pure Storage FlashArray with IDrive® e2 adds a capable and scalable cloud object storage solution that facilitates systematic integration for secure, efficient, and high-performance data management.

    Prerequisites

    Before you begin, ensure the following:

    1. An active IDrive® e2 account. Sign up here if you do not have one.
    2. A bucket in IDrive® e2. See how to create a bucket.
    3. Valid Access Key ID and Secret Access Key. Learn how to create an access key.
    4. Pure Storage FlashArray running Purity ver. 6.4.9
    5. Pure Storage Offload App Enabled.

    Configure Pure Storage FlashArray with IDrive® e2

    1. Log in to the PureStorage FlashArray management console.

    2. Verify that the Offload App has been installed and enabled by clicking Settings and then Software. You can locate the Offload App listed under Installed Apps.

    3. Click Protection in the left-side menu bar, then click + icon to add a new offload target.

    4. Under Connect Offload Target, enter your IDrive® e2 details as mentioned below.
      1. Select S3 as the Protocol.
      2. Select S3 Compatible as Target.
      3. Select the Payment Plan that you have already established with IDrive® e2 for your buckets.
      4. Enter your IDrive® e2 S3 end-point as URL (e.g., https://r4a6.or5.idrivee2-75.com).
      5. Enter a Name for the connection.
      6. Enter your IDrive® e2 Access Key as Access Key ID.
      7. Enter your IDrive® e2 Secret Key as Secret Access Key.
      8. Enter the Bucket name from the e2 bucket list.
      9. Click Connect.

    5. Once created, you can click on the Offload target you made and see the details.

    Here, you can see what Protection Groups are assigned or what volumes have been backed up via Snapshots.
