Integrate ObjectiveFS with IDrive® e2
ObjectiveFS is a distributed POSIX file system that converts cloud object storage into a scalable, high-performance backend for enterprise workloads, including web hosting, big data, and video processing. It ensures local disk-like performance with advanced caching and logging while maintaining strong consistency and security through client-side encryption. Integrating ObjectiveFS with IDrive® e2 adds a capable and scalable cloud object storage solution that facilitates systematic integration for secure, efficient, and cost-effective data management.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure the following:
- An active IDrive® e2 account. Sign up here if you do not have one.
- A bucket in IDrive® e2. See how to create a bucket.
- Valid Access Key ID and Secret Access Key. Learn how to create an access key.
- ObjectiveFS installed with the latest version.
Configure ObjectiveFS with IDrive® e2
To use this product with IDrive® e2, follow the config guidelines below:
$ sudo mount.objectivefs config
Creating config in /etc/objectivefs.env
Enter ObjectiveFS license: enter_in_your_license_here
Enter Access Key Id: <Idrive e2 Access Key>
Enter Secret Access Key: <IDrive e2 Secret Key>
Enter Default Region (optional): https://v1e8.da.idrivee2-17.com
Creating:
/etc/objectivefs.env
/etc/objectivefs.env/OBJECTIVEFS_LICENSE
/etc/objectivefs.env/AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID
