Integrate ActiveImage Manager with IDrive® e2

    ActiveImage Manager is a backup and disaster recovery solution designed to protect entire volumes or selected files, with flexible scheduling and storage options. Integrating ActiveImage Manager with IDrive® e2 allows you to store backups in the cloud for improved redundancy, security, and accessibility.

    Prerequisites:

    Before you begin, ensure the following:

    1. An active IDrive® e2 account. Sign up here if you do not have one.
    2. A bucket in IDrive® e2. See how to create a bucket.
    3. Valid Access Key ID and Secret Access Key. Learn how to create an access key.
    4. A valid ActiveImage account.

    Configure IDrive® e2 with ActiveImage Manager

    1. Launch ActiveImage Manager.
    2. Click Backup.

    3. Select Volume Backup or File Backup depending on your requirement.

    4. Select the source folder from your local system and click Next.

    5. Enter a Task Name and File Name for the backup, then click Select Folder.

    6. Select Amazon S3 as the destination and enter your IDrive® e2 credentials:
      • Enter your IDrive® e2 Access Key as Access Key ID.
      • Enter your IDrive® e2 Secret Key as Secret Key.
      • Select Specify Provider and open the drop-down menu.

      • Select Add New, then enter a Name and your IDrive® e2 S3 endpoint. Click OK.

      • Click Connect.

    7. Select your IDrive® e2 bucket and desired folder, then click Select Folder.

    8. In the Destination Configuration screen, click Next.

    9. Schedule the backup as required and click Next.

    10. Review the summary and click Save.

    11. If not scheduled, keep Run Now selected and click OK.

    12. The job will be added and start automatically.
