About the Job

Join our quality engineering team and play a key role in delivering reliable, high-performance cloud applications. As a Senior Software Test Engineer – Cloud Applications, you will be responsible for validating complex web, desktop, and cloud-based applications through comprehensive manual testing. You will work closely with developers, product teams, and QA engineers to ensure our backup, recovery, and SaaS solutions meet the highest standards of quality, usability, and performance.

What you will be doing:

Quality assurance & testing

• Perform comprehensive manual testing of websites, web applications, desktop applications, and backup solutions.
• Design, create, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and use cases.
• Validate application functionality, usability, and overall product quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Defect management & quality improvement

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects in both testing and production environments.
• Define, implement, and continuously improve QA strategies, processes, and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvements to QA processes, testing methodologies, and product quality.
• Analyze test results and collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely issue resolution.

Performance & compatibility testing

• Execute and analyze performance, load, and stress testing to evaluate application capabilities, scalability and reliability.
• Perform compatibility, cross-browser, and responsive testing across multiple operating systems, browsers, and devices.
• Assess application behavior under varying workloads and identify opportunities for optimization.

Documentation & collaboration

• Maintain detailed and accurate test documentation for validation, auditing, and future reference.
• Contribute to internal and customer-facing documentation related to quality assurance activities.
• Work closely with engineering, product, and support teams to ensure successful product releases.

What we expect from you:

Experience & technical expertise

• 3-5 years of professional experience in manual software testing.
• Proven experience testing complex websites, web applications, desktop applications, and backup-related solutions.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, defect lifecycle management, and QA best practices.
• Experience creating, managing, and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to maintain clear and detailed testing records.
• Experience testing cloud backup, recovery, restore, and data protection solutions.
• Understanding of SaaS applications and cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Salesforce.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality software releases.
• B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized institution.

Good to have

• Working knowledge of Salesforce.
• Exposure to test automation concepts with hands-on experience in Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with API testing methodologies and testing tools.
• Understanding of usability testing principles and industry best practices.
• Experience in comparative testing, benchmarking, and competitor analysis.
