Sometimes, I get a long message about registering IDrive after I click on Login. What does this mean to me as a user?
This message is to notify users that IDrive has already been installed on another computer and is being used with the same username you have entered on this machine to login. The IDrive client agent works with a single username on one computer for logins and we do not recommend multiple logins with the same username on multiple machines.
The only exception is in case of a system crash etc. when a user might want to install IDrive afresh on the machine to commence using the client agent again. |

|
How is data encrypted on storage?
All data stored on the IDrive servers is encrypted using a secure key with a user supplied password known only to the end user. IDrive uses industry standard AES 256-bit encryption* on storage ideally suited for higher security needs of Financial, Healthcare and Government organizations.
WARNING: IDrive does not store the user-supplied password anywhere on its servers. It is recommended that you memorize the password and take a hard copy and archive it in a safe location. However, if you select the Default encryption option, there is no need to remember the password.
Without this encryption password, users will not be able to retrieve data. |
