How does IDrive Express™ work?
For backup, IDrive ships a temporary storage device to you. Copy your data using the IDrive application and send the device back. IDrive uploads the data directly to your cloud account. For restores, IDrive loads your data onto a device and ships it to you for local recovery.
Is IDrive Express™ faster than online backup?
Yes. IDrive Express™ can significantly reduce the time required to transfer terabytes of data compared to standard internet uploads. It is designed for businesses and individuals with large datasets, slow internet connections, or tight backup and recovery timelines.
Is my data secure during shipment?

Is IDrive Express™ included with my IDrive plan?
IDrive Personal, Team, and Business plans include a limited number of complimentary IDrive Express™ backup services annually. Additional backup or restore requests are available at standard service rates.
Can I use IDrive Express™ for data restores?
Yes. IDrive Express™ supports both backups and restores. If you need to recover a large amount of data, IDrive can ship your data on a storage device, allowing for faster restoration compared to downloading files over the internet.
