IDrive-E Explorer is accessible as a Read-Only Virtual Drive, which can be used for restore related operations. This is very user-friendly since it is available with same look n feel as that of the native Microsoft Windows Explorer interface. Files/folders can be restored to the local drive with the ease of drag-drop functionality.

Open the IDrive-E Explorer and select the files/folders and drag and drop it to the required location on your local drive.

By default, the IDrive-E explorer view will display the latest version of all files from the server. So restoring any file from the IDrive-E explorer would give you the latest file version itself.

Double clicking on any file either from Explorer or from within the search results, would display the file version list. You can select the required version to be restored and just drop that file to the required destination folder on your local disk.

Should I restart my system to use the IDrive-E Explorer interface after the complete installation of IDrive-E?

Yes. after the complete installation of IDrive-E, you would need to reboot your system to start using the ‘IDrive-E Explorer’.

The search results support all of the IDrive-E Explorer View operations. You can drag-and-drop or copy the search results to the local drives, you can view versions, you can view the file properties etc.
